Ici, ce n'est pas la nostalgie de Tokyo qui compte, mais son aplomb. The Prince Park Tower Tokyo joue la carte de la hauteur avec une logique très japonaise. Vous dormez dans une tour de 104 mètres, dessinée par Noritaka Tange, sans perdre le sens du service réglé. C'est ce mélange qui fait la différence sur Minato-ku. D'un côté, 603 chambres et suites, donc une vraie machine hôtelière. De l'autre, des repères simples, utiles, presque silencieux. Le bar Stellar Garden regarde Tokyo Tower au premier rang. La piscine intérieure file sur 25 mètres. Le check-in commence à 3:00 PM, le check-out tient jusqu'à 12:00 PM. Rien d'ornemental ici dans les faits disponibles, et c'est plutôt bon signe. Le bâtiment, construit entre 2001 et 2005, appartient à cette famille de gratte-ciel tokyoïtes qui assument leur verticalité sans théâtre. Wikipedia le résume d'ailleurs ainsi : un gratte-ciel de Minato-ku. Retenez surtout ceci : si vous cherchez une adresse intimiste, passez votre tour.
