UAE luxury travel guide: Dubai (Burj Al Arab, Atlantis The Royal, Bvlgari, One Za'abeel) and Abu Dhabi (Emirates Palace, Bvlgari, St Regis Saadiyat). Updated May 2026.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi concentrate some of the world's most spectacular urban resorts. MyConciergeHotel covers Dubai (Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, Atlantis The Royal, Bvlgari Resort Dubai, One&Only Royal Mirage, Four Seasons Resort Dubai, Address Sky View, One Za'abeel) and Abu Dhabi (Emirates Palace, Bvlgari Resort Abu Dhabi, St Regis Saadiyat Island, Anantara Eastern Mangroves, Erth Abu Dhabi). Dubai & Abu Dhabi — selection
#1
Dubai iconic
Adresses phares
Burj Al Arab Jumeirah (the absolute icon, 202 duplex suites, 321m artificial sail), Atlantis The Royal (2023 opening, 795 rooms, 17 starred restaurants including Heart of Europe), Bvlgari Resort Dubai (private Jumeira Bay island, 101 rooms + 20 villas + 174 residences), One&Only Royal Mirage (Palm Jumeirah, 250 Oriental-style rooms).
Pour quel séjour
First Dubai stay, luxury stopover before the Maldives (Emirates direct), shopping, international gastronomy, short stay (3-4 nights). Ideal November-April (25-30°C).
Le Conseil du Concierge
My tip: at Burj Al Arab, don't request a "Royal" suite at the top — prefer the "Deluxe One-Bedroom Suite" on the 15th floor facing Jumeirah beach. Identical view, half the price. For Atlantis The Royal, book room 4203 (Cloud 22 lounge accessible) — Palm Jumeirah + Marina skyline view.
#2
Dubai new generation
Adresses phares
One Za'abeel (2024 opening, "The Link" panoramic suspension between 2 towers), Atlantis The Royal (Mansion level reserved for resident owners + guests), Address Sky View (Downtown Dubai, direct Burj Khalifa view from infinity pool bridge), Mandarin Oriental Jumeira (2019, private beach).
Pour quel séjour
Travellers sensitive to contemporary architecture and design, urban stays (proximity Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa), events (late November F1).
Le Conseil du Concierge
My tip: at One Za'abeel, request room 5611 (56th floor, simultaneous The Link and Burj Khalifa view). For Address Sky View, book the Sunday brunch slot at "The Lobby" restaurant — table 12 with infinity pool + Burj Khalifa view, assumed family atmosphere but refined format.
#3
Abu Dhabi historic
Adresses phares
Emirates Palace (Mandarin Oriental since 2020, 394 rooms and suites including the 4,000m² presidential penthouse), St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort (Saadiyat, 376 rooms facing Louvre Abu Dhabi), Anantara Eastern Mangroves, Erth Abu Dhabi.
Pour quel séjour
Cultural travellers (Louvre Abu Dhabi, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi opening 2025, Sheikh Zayed Mosque), quieter stays than Dubai, golf (Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, Yas Links).
Le Conseil du Concierge
My tip: at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, request a "Khaleej Suite" on the 3rd floor (marina + main dome orientation, 30m² terrace, traditional majlis). For the Louvre Abu Dhabi visit, book the 6-8pm slot (night dome illumination, milder winter temperatures, fewer tourists).
#4
Abu Dhabi new wave
Adresses phares
Bvlgari Resort Abu Dhabi (Jubail Island, 2024 opening — sister property of Bvlgari Dubai, 100 rooms + mangrove villas), Sea Soul Abu Dhabi (Marriott Luxury Collection member), Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas (Saadiyat).
Pour quel séjour
Travellers seeking intimacy against spectacular Dubai, nature stays (mangroves, bird watching), proximity to beach and culture.
Le Conseil du Concierge
My tip: at Bvlgari Resort Abu Dhabi, choose the "Mangrove Villa" 22 (stilt architecture in mangroves, private paddle access). For Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, book the "Beach House" restaurant west-point table for sunset over the Persian Gulf.
Practical info for a luxury stay in the UAE
When to go
November to April: 22-30°C, clear sky, ideal for any outdoor activity. May-October: 40-45°C, indoor-only stay (mall, spa, gastronomy) — very reduced hotel rates (up to -50%). Avoid July-August (extreme heat, Gulf humidity).
How to get there
Direct flights from Paris CDG to Dubai DXB (7h, Air France, Emirates, Etihad) or Abu Dhabi AUH (Etihad). Airport-hotel transfer by Rolls-Royce Phantom Emirates Chauffeur (free in Emirates First Class) or private car €80-200 per hotel.
Currency and payment
Emirati dirham (AED), €1 ≈ 4 AED in spring 2026. More stable rate than MAD. Credit cards accepted everywhere. Tips: 10-15% common in upmarket restaurants, generous for butlers and drivers ($10-20/day).
Visa and formalities
Free 30-day tourist visa on arrival (EU/Switzerland/Canada nationals). Passport valid 6 months. International driving licence recommended (French accepted for short stays). Right-hand driving, excellent highways.
Daily life
UAE are de facto secular in tourist areas (hotels serve alcohol, international gastronomy everywhere). Respectful dress code in public areas (shoulders + knees covered), free in hotels and private beaches. 5G wifi everywhere, generally free. Evening dress required in signature restaurants (shirt/jacket for men, dress for women).
Our concierge
Available for complex requests (helicopter privatisation for Palm Jumeirah flight, private dinner in Liwa desert, private brunch at Burj Al Arab Sky Lounge, Marina yacht rental). Write to eau@myconciergehotel.com.
UAE — frequently asked questions
How many Emirati addresses are in your catalogue?
About a dozen 5★ and Palace addresses split between Dubai (Burj Al Arab, Atlantis The Royal, Bvlgari Resort, One&Only Royal Mirage, Four Seasons, One Za'abeel, Address Sky View) and Abu Dhabi (Emirates Palace, Bvlgari Resort, St Regis Saadiyat, Anantara, Park Hyatt).
Dubai or Abu Dhabi — which choice?
Dubai for the spectacular, shopping and international gastronomy (first stay). Abu Dhabi for culture (Louvre, Guggenheim, Sheikh Zayed Mosque), quieter, quality Saadiyat beach. The 4 nights Dubai + 3 nights Abu Dhabi combination is ideal for 7 days. Transfers between the two: 1h15 car, E11 motorway.
Is the UAE visa paid?
No — for EU/Switzerland/Canada nationals, the 30-day tourist visa is issued free on arrival at the airport (DXB or AUH). No prior procedure needed. Passport valid 6 months.
Do my Marriott Bonvoy points work on Marriott UAE hotels?
Yes — Emirates Palace (Mandarin Oriental since 2020 but bookable via Bonvoy in transition), St Regis Saadiyat (Marriott), Westin Mina Seyahi (Marriott). Attach your Bonvoy number at checkout. Points credited after the stay.
Are your UAE rates more expensive than booking direct?
No — net Amadeus GDS rates in EUR or AED, identical to the hotel's public published rate. Our comparator transparently shows Booking, Hotels.com and Expedia rates.
Can we travel as a family to the UAE?
Yes — Atlantis The Royal has Aquaventure Waterpark included and a premium kids club Atlantis. Bvlgari Resort Dubai accepts children. Burj Al Arab is less family-friendly (more adult atmosphere). For very young children, prefer One&Only Royal Mirage or Four Seasons Dubai (renowned kids clubs).
Are there religious constraints to respect?
Very few in practice in tourist areas. Ramadan: no public food consumption during the day (but OK in hotels and hotel restaurants). Dress: respect in public places (shoulders/knees covered), free in hotels and private beaches. Alcohol: OK in licensed hotels and restaurants, not in public streets.
