Hotel brands — frequently asked questions
Are you affiliated with or paid by these hotel groups?
No. MyConciergeHotel is an independent IATA-accredited agency. No brand pays to be listed or featured. Our commission comes from bookings (IATA standard), identical from one brand to another — the selection is strictly editorial.
Which major international houses are in the catalogue?
Our catalogue covers the leading author collections: Aman (Asia, Americas, Europe), Belmond (Italy, Latin America, Venice Simplon Orient-Express), Six Senses (Bali, Maldives, Switzerland, Portugal), Bulgari (Milan, Dubai, Tokyo, Paris), Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, Rosewood, Park Hyatt, Raffles, The Peninsula, Shangri-La. New openings are published on /ouvertures as soon as the visit is validated by our concierge desk.
How does a brand join your editorial catalogue?
We select hotel groups on three criteria: strong editorial signature (author collection, not a marketing banner), verifiable distinctions (Forbes Five Star, Michelin Keys, Relais & Châteaux, Leading Hotels of the World), Amadeus GDS connectivity for direct booking. A brand doesn't apply — our concierge desk proposes.
What does "collection" vs "chain" mean in your catalogue?
A collection (Oetker, Dorchester, Cheval Blanc) groups a few author addresses, often unique by architecture or history. A chain (Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental) deploys a service standard at scale while maintaining a high level. Both feature in the catalogue; our editorial tends to favour collections for their signature.
Can I earn the brand's loyalty points by booking through you?
Yes — your loyalty number (Four Seasons Preferred, Marriott Bonvoy for Ritz-Carlton…) can be attached to the booking. Points are credited by the hotel after the stay. Our MyConciergeHotel programme stacks on top of the in-house programmes without replacing them.
How do I know if a specific hotel belongs to one of these brands?
The hotel page prominently mentions collection membership (Palace + group as a chip under the H1). If the brand is ambiguous (recent acquisition, sub-brand), we clarify the history in the "About the property" section.
