On choisit Le Carlton d’abord pour une chose simple : ici, l’adresse compte autant que l’hôtel. Au 58 boulevard de la Croisette, vous êtes face à la Méditerranée, avec Cannes qui défile sans filtre. Le bâtiment ouvre en 1911, et cela se sent dans sa présence plus que dans un discours. Charles Dalmas signe l’architecture d’origine, ce qui explique cette silhouette immédiatement reconnaissable sur le front de mer. Ce n’est pas un décor plaqué pour voyageurs pressés. C’est un morceau de Croisette resté debout. Le détail que je regarde toujours en premier est patrimonial : l’édifice est inscrit comme monument historique. Il porte aussi le label « Patrimoine du XXᵉ siècle ». Ce double statut change la lecture du lieu. Vous n’êtes pas seulement dans un palace 5 étoiles validé par Atout France.
